Privacy Policy

What this website collects

Almost nothing, by design. This site has no database, no login and no server that stores what you type. The consultation form does not transmit anything on its own: pressing Request my consultation assembles the details you entered into a WhatsApp message and opens it in WhatsApp. Nothing leaves your device until you press send. If you close that message instead, no one at the studio ever sees it.

What happens after you contact us

Once you send that message (or call, or write to us any other way) your name, phone number and whatever you chose to tell us arrive on the studio's phone. We use that information for one purpose: to reach you about the appointment or question you contacted us about. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta, not by us. Messages are encrypted end to end, so Meta cannot read what you write, but it does know that you contacted the studio and when. If you would rather not involve a third party at all, call (787) 341-0610 instead - a phone call leaves no record anywhere but with us.

Please do not send detailed medical or dental history through the form or by message. WhatsApp is encrypted in transit, but the conversation still sits on the studio's phone afterwards, and a chat thread is not the right home for a medical record. Bring that information to your visit, or give it to us by phone.

Your dental records are a separate matter

Everything above concerns this website only. Health information created once you become a patient (charts, images, scans, treatment notes) is protected health information and is governed by the studio's Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, which is a separate document provided to you at the practice. Analytics

This site is built to run with no analytics at all, and ships that way. If the studio later enables Google Analytics, it would collect the standard anonymous measurements (pages viewed, approximate region, device type, how visitors arrived) with no names, phone numbers or form contents attached. It is never used to identify you personally. You can block it entirely with any standard content blocker or your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Fonts and third-party requests

The typefaces used here are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which necessarily discloses your IP address to Google, as visiting any website discloses it to that site's host. No cookie is set by that request, and it carries nothing you typed.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through it. Minors are of course welcome as patients, with a parent or guardian.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what contact information we hold for you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and stop contacting you. Call the studio at (787) 341-0610 and we will take care of it. Requests about clinical records follow the process in the practice's HIPAA notice.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how we handle information will not be applied retroactively to information already collected.

This site is information, not medical advice

Everything on this website is general information about dentistry and about this practice. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation, and not a substitute for being examined. Reading it, or sending the consultation form, does not create a doctor-patient relationship. That relationship begins at your first appointment, in the chair.

Dental emergencies

Do not use this website for anything urgent. If you are in severe pain, bleeding heavily, or have had facial trauma, call the studio directly at (787) 341-0610 during business hours, or go to the nearest emergency room. Nobody monitors this website's form outside office hours.

Before-and-after images and results

The cases shown in the smile gallery are actual patients of this practice, photographed with their permission, and are not retouched to change the dental result. They illustrate what was achieved for those particular people, with their particular anatomy, health and habits. Individual results vary. Nothing on this site is a promise, guarantee or warranty of any specific outcome for you. What is achievable in your case can only be established at an examination.

Timeframes, treatments and prices

Any durations, sequences or ranges described here are typical, not committed. Your plan, its schedule and its cost are set at your consultation, in writing and itemized, and that written plan governs over anything stated on this website.

Accuracy

We keep this site current to the best of our ability, but do not warrant that every detail (hours, service list, technology, pricing) is complete and accurate at every moment. Call the studio to confirm anything you are relying on.

Intellectual property

The text, photography, design and code of this website belong to Smile Studio PR and its licensors, and may not be copied, republished or reused without written permission. The clinical photographs of patients are used under permissions granted to this practice and may not be reproduced under any circumstances.

Links to other sites

Where this site links somewhere else, that destination is outside our control and its own terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for its content.

Limitation of liability

This website is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smile Studio PR is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website itself. Nothing in this paragraph limits the practice's professional responsibility for care actually delivered to patients; that is governed by law and by professional standards, not by a website notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
