About us

The dentist you meet is the dentist who does the work.

Dr. Lirie Doyle Avellanet sees the patients, plans the cases and carries out the treatment. Your case doesn’t get handed to whoever is free that afternoon.

Dr. Lirie Doyle Avellanet at Smile Studio, Condado

General & Cosmetic Dentist / Founder of Smile Studio

Meet Dr. Lirie Doyle Avellanet.

Dr. Lirie Doyle Avellanet, DMD, is a general and cosmetic dentist licensed in Puerto Rico and the founder of Smile Studio in Condado, San Juan. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, then completed a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, which extended her training in comprehensive and restorative dentistry.

Her continuing education since has been in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, porcelain and composite veneers, digital smile planning and orofacial harmonization. In her own words: the best cosmetic dentistry shouldn’t look artificial. It should look like you, at your best.

General and cosmetic dentistry on Ashford Avenue.

Cleanings, whitening and fillings on one end. Crowns, veneers and implants on the other. Same room for both.

Every case opens with a Medit 3D scan and a plan on screen that you look at and agree to before a tooth is touched. Dr. Doyle Avellanet plans it and treats it herself, which is the reason the studio stays small.

Consultations end with an itemized plan, a price, and in-house payment terms if you want them.

If people can tell, it isn’t finished.

You can spot bad cosmetic work from across a room, and it’s almost never the color that gives it away. It’s proportion, edge shape and how the teeth sit against the lip. Those are the things the digital plan is for.

Preparation stays conservative. Enamel doesn’t grow back, so as much of yours stays as the case allows.

You’ll hear the plan before you feel an instrument. Every time.

The scanner exists so you don’t have to bite into putty.

That’s the honest reason for most of the equipment here. The Medit intraoral scanner replaces impression trays with a pass that takes a couple of minutes. Digital X-rays use a fraction of the radiation film needed. Panoramic imaging gets the whole jaw in one shot.

None of it changes how a visit feels on its own. Being told what’s happening, and being asked before it happens, is what does that.

Payment plans are set up in house, at the consultation, once you know what the work actually costs.

What we stand for

Four things that don’t move.

The price comes first

You hear what’s recommended, why, and what it costs, before anything starts.

Gentle by default

Numbing gel before injections. A break whenever you ask for one, without having to explain why.

Natural results

If people can tell it’s dental work, it isn’t finished. That’s the whole standard.

The same hands

One dentist scans, plans and treats your case. Nothing gets passed along mid-way.

Come see the room.

A consultation commits you to nothing, and it’s the only reliable way to find out whether a practice suits you.
